Buying a property in Oakleigh can be a daunting and difficult process. For many of us, buying property is something we only do a few times in our lives.
A buyers advocate (also known as a buyers agent or property finder) can be an enormous help when buying a home or investment property by:
- removing the stress and frustration of buying a home
- saving you time and allowing you to get your weekends back
- saving you from having to deal with the tactics of real estate agents
Questions such as “where can I find a home I can afford”, “am I paying too much?”, “where can I find someone to bid for me at auction” are easily answered with the assistance of a buyer’s agent specialising in the Oakleigh area.
A buyers advocate can manage the entire buying process for you or, where you have found a property, negotiate on your behalf with the agent or bid at auction for you.
WE MAKE IT EASY to get your weekends back and find the perfect home or investment property in Oakleigh for a LOW FLAT FIXED FEE. We guide you through the entire process, from selecting a home, market appraisal, negotiating/bidding to the final inspection, and help you purchase with confidence.
We also offer a service for vendors selling in Oakleigh. We offer our Vendor Advocacy service to our sellers at NO CHARGE.
Oakleigh Suburb Profile
Once a large independent city, Oakleigh was absorbed into Melbourne’s eastward expansions back in the 1950s. Located 14km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD and part of the City of Monash local government area, the origin of the suburbs name is unclear. Local historians have three main theories – derived from she-oaks that grew in the Scotchmans Creek, “Oakleigh Park” an estate in England or from Mrs Oakley, an early settler.
Oakleigh’s CBD spans almost nine blocks, with Atherton Road is Oakleigh’s historic commercial main street, while Drummond Street is its former civic spine. This area has many older buildings, including banks and retail complexes dating back to the early days of the city.
The CBD is a popular activity center with locals with a great many cafes, several hotels, restaurants and retail shops. The thriving shopping district has an abundance of butchers, bakeries, beauty salons, and specialty shops selling sweets. A police station, primary school, public Library, RSL, Community Hall and historical center (Monash Federation Centre) Cemetery and football ground and park are in the nearby historical precinct of Drummond Street.
