Buying a property in Windsor can be a daunting and difficult process. For many of us, it is something we only do a few times in our lives.
A buyers advocate (also known as a buyers agent or property finder) can be an enormous help to make it easy to buy a home or investment property by:
- removing the stress and frustration of buying a home
- saving you time and allowing you to get your weekends back
- saving you from having to deal with the tactics of real estate agents
Questions such as “where can I find a home I can afford”, “am I paying too much?”, “where can I find someone to bid for me at auction” are easily answered with the assistance of a buyer’s agent specialising in the Windsor area.
A buyers advocate can manage the entire buying process for you or, where you have found a property, negotiate on your behalf with the agent or bid at auction for you.
WE MAKE IT EASY to get your weekends back and find the perfect home or investment property in Windsor for a LOW FLAT FIXED FEE. We guide you through the entire process, from selecting a home, market appraisal, negotiating/bidding to the final inspection, and help you purchase with confidence.
We also offer a service for vendors selling in Windsor. We offer our Vendor Advocacy service to our sellers at NO CHARGE.
Windsor Suburb Profile
The suburb of Windsor lies five kilometers south-east of the Central Business District. It belongs to the government areas of Port Philip and Stonnington and has a population of 7,069.
Originally known as Prahran South, its name was later changed to Windsor in 1891. Although it is within the City of Prahran’s boundaries, it does not belong to Prahran.
This suburb is known as the smallest in Stonnington. However, it has long proven its independence as it has its own bank, restaurants, bars, lounges, cafes and clothing shops. Most of them are within walking distance to Fitzroy Street, St Kilda, Albert Park lake and the beach.
Windsor also takes pride of its products such as the Aspro painkiller which was invented by chemist George Nicholas in Windsor and the Nuttelex margarine.
Popular Landmarks
Windsor boasts of many interesting landmarks that date back to the past and have been preserved well. These include the historic Presentation Convent which has been turned into a secondary school, the old post office, Telstra exchange tower, the Swinburne University campus and the Stonnington Primary School.
Modern structures are also in place such as the award winning Windsor Fire Station designed by architects Edmund and Corrigan. The K2 apartments on Raleigh Street, meanwhile, features a sustainable architecture with a passive solar design, wastewater treatment, rainwater collection and solar hot water.
Hotels exist in the area and these are the Windsor Castle and Pint on Punt.
Housing
In terms of housing, Windsor has a mix of it. It features Victorian terrace homes, semi-detached cottages, high-rise public housing tower and medium density apartments.
Despite being an inner city suburb, some of the homes here are larger than those in the neighboring areas. Parking is not an issue and residents can enjoy a quiet environment.
Transportation
Windsor has a train station situated on Chapel Street. The Sandringham line is also available and considered the safest in Melbourne. It takes only 10 minutes to reach the CBD from the Windsor Station.
Trams are easily accessible and run along St Kilda Road, Dandenong Road, High Street and Chapel Street.
