The week ending 17th October delivered a clearance rate of 88% from the 911 auctions reported for the period (based on REIV data). At the same time last year, there were just 149 auctions reported.
524 homes sold at auction last week and another 273 sold prior to auction, with 108 passed in. 36 properties were withdrawn from sale and 96 auctions were postponed.
With the property market going from strength to strength and the demand for houses, especially in Melbourne, being at an all time high, it seems right now is the time to sell.
