The week ending 26th June brought a sharp increase in the number of auctions across Victoria following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. There were 924 auctions reported for the period, which is almost 45% higher than the 642 reported the previous week (based on REIV data). This time in 2020, there were 498 auctions reported across the state.
The clearance rate for the week was 79%, a very slight decrease from the 82% recorded during the previous week.
588 homes were sold at auction, 142 sold before auction, with 194 passed in. 109 properties were withdrawn from sale.
