The week ending 5th June brought strong results at auctions across Victoria, with a 96% clearance rate according to REIV data. 565 auctions were reported for the period. 258 home sold at auction and 284 prior to auction, with 22 passed in.
The market remains subdued due to the ongoing lockdown, which is significantly affecting volume. 231 properties were withdrawn from sale across the week.
As Alanah Frost from the Herald Sun reported this week, Melbourne’s property market broke records in terms of sales during Autumn and the Winter period is expected to remain highly competitive.
