“We live in New South Wales in a remote part of the state and came to Melbourne to buy the house of our dreams. We found the house, but given that we were so remote from Melbourne and given that we wanted to put distance between ourselves and the vendor’s agent and us as the purchasers, we employed Wendy Chamberlain to act as our buying agent, our eyes and ears, and that go-between between the vendor’s agent and ourselves.
[The process was] extremely easy, even though we were, what, how many miles apart? 1900 kilometres or whatever, but anyway on the phone we were able to discuss exactly what we wanted, our tactics, and Wendy was fantastic in the feedback, commentary, and strategy, and in the end won us the house of our dreams! I think Wendy did the heavy lifting, yeah massively, that was it.
For me, it takes all of the heat out of the relationship between ourselves and the vendor solicitors, it puts that bridge in place, such that it takes the emotion out of us buying a house and places all that weight on Wendy’s shoulders to get us the deal that we were happy with. And also your relationships with the various real estate agents, you knowing their background and having that insider information was invaluable. Thank you!”
